When and how can I apply to the school to admit my child?
Parents can apply for admission to the school at any point in the year.
Please click here to download our application form. The form should be completed and returned together with our with our Financial Agreement Form, a copy of your child’s most recent school report and any other supporting information. All forms are also available on request from the Admission Secretary at our Redland Hill Site.
Your application form will be passed to the Head Teacher for both Kindergarten and Primary School applications. A tour of the School will be arranged within 5 working days of your contacting us. A member of the School Management Team will arrange a meeting with you to go through your application and answer any questions you may have about what the Bristol Steiner School offers. If your application is approved the Senior Education Manager will then introduce you to the Class teacher who will be the key person who will have direct responsibility for your child’s academic learning and welfare at the school. There will be an opportunity for a trial period if requested.
What part do parents play in the life of the school?
If you are a new parent to the school there will be an opportunity for you to meet with parents of your class group at a parents evening. Dates of parents evenings are set out in the school calendar and this will form part of your welcome pack. The school welcomes parent engagement with the school, through discussion groups, contributing activities for the children, and playing a part as a representative on the Whole School Community Forum, which advises on the strategic direction and development of the school.
